Why We Love Yumi
Myoung Kim, known to everyone as Yumi, opened Yumi’s Sushi Bar in Excelsior in 1999 with a focus on top-quality fish and warm hospitality. It’s now across the street from the original spot, with large French windows that open toward the lake.
Locals are loyal to the fresh, generous rolls, and the restaurant has grown to locations in St. Paul and Edina. The Excelsior original is still the one with the lake breeze.
